Let her talk mostly about herself, stop yapping about your own stuff

By Fabrizio Rausa

One of the clearest mistakes men make over text is dominating the conversation with their own stories and details. A real example: a guy asked a girl how her weekend was, she responded briefly and asked him about Chicago. He replied with a full paragraph about the show being fantastic, the girls wearing animal-print clothes, and multiple extra details she never asked for. That is exactly what not to do. She does not care about those details. Most of the time when you are doing that, you are just talking her ears off. Keep your replies short and redirect the focus back to her. Something like 'Chicago was nice, I think you would like it here' gets her thinking and wanting to respond, rather than sitting through a paragraph of information she has no stake in.
