What preselection means and why it works biologically

By Fabrizio Rausa

Preselection is the signal you send to a woman that other women already want you. The biological logic behind it connects to a woman's primary concern when interacting with a man one-on-one: her safety. Before she has spent any time with you or gotten to know you, she has no personal data to go on. But if another woman already wants to be around you, spends time with you, and has fun with you, it acts as a form of social proof. Her reasoning becomes: 'If another woman who has invested time in him likes him and wants to be around him, then it makes sense for me to want him as well.' Fabrizio Rausa compares it to a Lamborghini: if somebody else already wants it, that signals it is desirable. So preselection serves two purposes at once. It makes you more attractive and it lowers the perceived risk, making her decision to engage with you far easier.
