Saying 'I don't like my voice' is usually a mask for fear of writing
When someone says they don't like their own voice but admires how someone like Greg Isenberg writes, the reality is that 99% of the time they can't articulate what makes their voice their voice, what they dislike about it, or even what specifically they love about the other person's writing. This framing of it as a 'voice problem' is almost always a mask. What they're really expressing is that they're afraid to write at all. Pointing to voice is just an easier, more intellectually respectable way to avoid putting themselves out there.
