You don't need original thinking — your unique life details are the differentiator

By Greg Isenberg

This idea should be liberating for founders, builders, and anyone trying to grow an organic audience. You actually don't need to be producing game-changing, radically new original thinking. There are a gazillion startup founders out there, but you are a specific startup founder — and what makes you unique is how you see the world, where you live, how many siblings you have, where you went to school, what you studied, what your hobbies are. In the age of infinite text-based commodity content, all of those small personal data points are differentiators. Every time you write about one of those personality details, it gets added to your digital brain — your personal language model. The goal is simple: get your audience to associate your life details, your life events, and your ways of seeing the world with you as a person.
