Why AI-generated LinkedIn posts fail without real human source material

By Greg Isenberg

If you ask an agent to simply 'write good LinkedIn content' without any grounding, you will get the most generic, mid output imaginable — content that wastes the reader's time on the other side. Worse, LinkedIn released a new AI-detection feature that will flag exactly this kind of hollow, model-generated content. The fix is non-negotiable: source everything from real human conversation. That's where original ideas actually come from. It doesn't matter whether the source is your own podcast transcript, a sales call, a one-on-one interview with a team member, or even a public podcast with someone like Naval — the system needs some form of real, recurring human input feeding it on a consistent cadence.
