Sequoia's $1T software map: copilot vs autopilot, and what's really up for grabs

By Greg Isenberg

Sequoia has published a two-by-two matrix mapping agentic software opportunities across two axes: Copilot (human-assisted) versus Autopilot (outsourced), and Match (in-housed) versus Next Wave. The matrix maps this against Judgment versus Intelligence and includes specific total addressable markets: management consulting at $300B+, IT managed services at $100–200B, accounting at $50–80B, and freight at $100B+. The overall framing, as Greg Isenberg summarizes it, is that there is a trillion dollars up for grabs within agents — with Howie Liu's view being that the true number is significantly larger.
