Taking less money now to live authentically is true freedom

Fabrizio Rausa acknowledges he is poorer on paper than many people in his surroundings who took the traditional route and earn good salaries. He does not care. He would rather make less money in the moment, knowing that long-term he will make more, because the trade-off is that he can spend every single day doing what he wants. He can sit in front of a camera and say what he thinks without worrying his boss will fire him for it. That, he says, is true freedom. It is what allows him to be his authentic self, which is something genuinely rare because most people are too busy trying to do the accepted thing.
