Every question you ask in a conversation should have a purpose

By Fabrizio Rausa

Do not ask things just to ask. Fabrizio Rausa does not ask about favorite colors or other filler topics that do not genuinely interest him. Conversation needs to be intentional to some degree. You do need to cover some basics, like asking what she does for work, even if you do not deeply care. At minimum it tells you she is not a complete wildcard. But beyond that, everything you bring up should be moving the conversation somewhere. The goal is to get her comfortable opening up, comfortable talking about her past, and eventually comfortable enough to talk about more personal or intimate topics. That progression only happens if the conversation has direction from the start.
