Doing things you do not want to do makes you lose your identity

By Fabrizio Rausa

Fabrizio Rausa puts a lot of respect on his own honesty. He does not ask people how they are just for the sake of it. He does not do things just because they are polite or you are supposed to do them. His reasoning is that every time you do something you genuinely do not want to do, you lose a little piece of yourself. You lose your identity. You lose what makes you you. Going through the motions of social scripts or obligations you do not believe in is not neutral, it actively erodes who you are over time.
