Being in a relationship while building your life costs you more than you think
Fabrizio Rausa argues that spending time with a girlfriend is simply not productive when you are in a growth phase. There is a meaningful difference between going out with friends versus staying home or going out with your girlfriend. When you go out with friends, you encounter new people, new experiences, potential contacts including executives, club owners, or anyone who can open doors. When you stay in watching a film with your girlfriend or just go to dinner, no new experiences are created. His view is that it is better not to enter a relationship while you are still ascending and building your life. He acknowledges this is personal and that some people genuinely work better in a relationship because they need a regular outlet for their energy, but that is not how he is wired.
