Groceries in the Marquesas: mostly local produce, limited selection
The grocery store in Hiva Oa had a limited selection, stocking essentially whatever is grown locally on the island. Lauren picked up cucumbers, lettuce, frozen berries, and frozen vegetables. The walk into town was about a mile and a half to two miles each way, though she managed to get a ride for part of the journey, which she was grateful for.
