A surprise hammerhead sighting makes a drift dive memorable

During a session of three drifts, Lauren Landers Sailing spotted a large hammerhead shark, something she had not seen in some time. The sighting lasted only about half a second, just long enough to barely catch a glimpse of its head. She was unsure whether the GoPro captured it because the encounter was so brief. Despite the fleeting nature of the moment, the sighting was a genuine highlight, separate from the ongoing tiger shark search that had been the main focus of the day.
