Use model profiles to match the right AI to each task and save money
Rather than thinking about which AI 'role' you need — designer, writer, researcher — think about the strengths of each model and use them to their strengths. Modern frontier models are generally intelligent enough that one model, like Opus, can handle designing a graphic image, writing a YouTube script, and planning a product. The key is knowing which model performs best for which type of task and setting up profiles for each. For example, a quick research task might go to one model living on your desk, while building out an app goes to another. Setting up and leveraging profiles leads to better productivity and meaningful cost savings — and you avoid the overhead of routing every request through a chain of role-based agents.
