Airtable's profitability lets Hyper Agent subsidize frontier AI model costs for users

By Greg Isenberg

Airtable is a half-billion-dollar revenue business generating around a hundred million dollars in free cash flow per year, with over a billion dollars on the balance sheet. That financial strength allows Hyper Agent to be extremely generous with pricing rather than nickel-and-diming users. The goal is for Hyper Agent to become the standard — like the iPhone — so they're willing to subsidize real model costs, including frontier models like Opus. This matters especially because the open-source Claude community has grown frustrated that you can no longer get subsidized credits for Opus usage elsewhere. Through Hyper Agent, users can access those frontier models much more cheaply.
