Use a paid audit as the wedge to sell agent readiness services

By Greg Isenberg

The go-to-market wedge for an agent readiness business is a paid audit. Pick one vertical — B2B SaaS is obvious, but law firms, healthcare clinics, financial advisors, insurance brokers, Shopify apps, and home services all work. Then run 20 to 50 buyer-intent prompts across major AI tools, asking things like: 'What is the best software for this use case? Compare this company to top alternatives. What does this company cost? Who is this product best for? What are the risks of choosing this vendor? Would you recommend this product for a 20-person company? What integrations does it support?' Then show the company the answers. That's the sales moment. You might reveal to a founder that when buyers ask AI about their category, the company doesn't show up at all — or that AI is quoting the wrong price, or recommending a competitor because their docs are cleaner, or that the right answer exists on the site but is buried in a PDF from 2002. That gets attention immediately, especially when combined with cold email outreach.
