Stop treating local AI as a model benchmark conversation — treat it as a product conversation

Local AI becomes much easier to understand once you stop framing it as a technical benchmark discussion and start framing it as a product question. Ask yourself: where is the work happening? Where is the data? Where is the device? Where is the trust issue? Where is an annoying review loop? Answer those questions honestly for a specific context and the right idea starts to reveal itself. Some AI belongs in the cloud, some belongs on the device, and many of the best products over the next couple of years will combine both. The map isn't complicated once you're asking the right questions.
