Robotics and physical AI are closer than most people think
A lot of people assume robotics and physical AI are decades away — think the Jetsons — but Greg Isenberg argues we are almost there right now. As an example, a company called Osmo recently raised six or seven million dollars to do window cleaning as a service: building owners pay for clean windows, and Osmo deploys and operates the robotic equipment. It's a clean, recurring-revenue business built on physical AI. The insight from investor Brian Norgard that Greg cites is: 'the best way to sell software is by selling hardware.' Even if you're not a robotics engineer or PhD, there is still opportunity — buying a few robots and renting them out, or going into sales and marketing for robotics companies, are both real paths into this wave.
