Legitimate scarcity on sales calls closes deals — but it must be real
When you cap your client roster and mean it, you can use that scarcity authentically on every sales call. Corey's example: he has five clients and is genuinely capping at six. On calls, he tells prospects directly, 'I'm taking one more client for this offer, and I have two other calls this week with people interested. If you say no today and one of them says yes, I promise you I'm not working with you until one of my other clients turns.' The critical caveat is that this only works — ethically and practically — if the scarcity is real. Manufactured scarcity is easy to detect and destroys trust. Genuine scarcity, by contrast, communicates confidence and demand, which makes the prospect more likely to act immediately.
