Impact-effort matrix categorizes tool recommendations into four priority tiers
After the executive summary, the report includes a 2x2 effort-versus-impact prioritization matrix that sorts every tool recommendation into one of four categories. High impact and low effort tools are labeled 'Quick Wins' — these are the off-the-shelf tools a client can sign up for immediately and benefit from right away. High impact but high effort tools are 'Major Projects.' Low impact and low effort tools are 'Fill-Ins,' meaning do them eventually but don't prioritize. Low impact and high effort tools are labeled 'Ignore These.' This matrix helps clients immediately understand not just what to do, but in what order — and it protects them from wasting time on tools that won't move the needle.
