Combining office hours with door-knocking to land your first clients
One creative way to fill office hours is to go door-knocking to local businesses and collect free gift cards to use as a carrot for attendance. In one example, someone secured $175 worth of gift cards from local businesses, used them as an incentive, and got 11 people to show up to the first office hours session. Two of those attendees converted into follow-up calls — and at least one was on track to become a paying client. The lesson: combining a community-friendly format like office hours with the hustle of door-knocking is a highly effective early-stage client acquisition move.
