Cloud-first monetization: creators get paid when their knowledge is used
The really interesting shift in cloud-first monetization is when the content archive becomes a resource that agents can pay for on a per-request basis. In that model, the creator gets paid when their knowledge is actually used, the builder gets a trusted expert layer, and the person consuming it gets better output. Greg Isenberg contrasts this with the old model: hoping someone watches a pre-roll ad before a 47-minute interview from seven years ago. Per-request, agent-driven access to curated expert knowledge is a fundamentally better economic structure for everyone involved.
