A caveat: these rollup numbers are self-reported by young companies that haven't survived a recession
Many of the performance numbers cited by AI rollup companies — margin improvements, time savings, EBITDA growth — are self-reported by young companies that are actively raising money. None of them have been through a recession yet. These figures should be taken as a strong signal of where the strategy is heading, not as verified proof. The honest read is that it's still early days, but the fact that both Thrive and General Catalyst are committing billions to the same idea is worth paying close attention to.
