NFT energy use is a real concern, but it is being fixed rapidly

The headline that NFTs are polluting has become very mainstream, and there is truth to it: there is a lot of computer power behind all of these technologies. However, the view from inside the space is that this is quickly being fixed. Pollution did not stop the industrial revolution; we simply got better at it over time. The same logic applies here. What some are calling the fourth industrial revolution needs to be understood from within, not dismissed from the outside. Media, with all due respect, often writes extensively about the metaverse and NFTs without actually knowing much about either, and that shapes public perception in ways that are not always accurate.
