MetaCampus: a metaverse education company built on inclusion and ethics
MetaCampus went public in early April 2022, roughly two to three weeks after being founded in January of that year. It started with a loose idea: to be a company that operates in the metaverse and to find opportunities to bring people on board. The team of around 15 people spans Toronto, Dubai, Kent, Gothenburg, Barcelona, and Tasmania. The core ambition is to make virtual education more accessible and inclusive, particularly for people who do not have access to education in the same way as others. A key appointment is Alison Alexander, based in Kent, who serves as Head of Ethics. Ethics is treated as foundational to the project, not an afterthought, because the intention is to create something that feels good and is as sustainable and as fair as possible.
