The unglamorous reality of boat life: cold days, chores, and unexpected water leaks
Not every day on a liveaboard sailboat is sunny and warm. On one particular morning at anchor, it was cold enough that a heavy sweater was being worn until almost noon, making it too uncomfortable to get in the water. The water maker was running for the first time in days thanks to a stretch of sunshine, and then, mid-cycle, the sound of a water spring suddenly appeared. It is a good illustration of how boat projects and small problems can appear at any moment, no matter what else is happening.
