While sailing through the waters around Rangiroa, the crew spotted massive rays passing beneath and alongside the boat. The rays were described as being as large as the sharks they had seen earlier, which was striking enough to get a depth call: 13 metres at that spot. Despite the depth, the water was clear enough to still see the bottom, making it a visually stunning moment that felt, as one crew member put it, 'like such a gift.'
