Bad weather and a broken phone forced a slower, more spontaneous pace
After several days of wind and swell that limited time on the water, Lauren Landers Sailing also dealt with an accidental phone mishap. While using her phone as a light to fix the fridge, she knocked it into the melted ice water at the bottom, breaking the display and cutting off access to most of her apps. Rather than fighting the disruption, she leaned into it, letting others in the group plan the day's activities while she followed along. She describes the combination of rough weather and the broken phone as good timing in a way, forcing a natural break from planning and work.
