A remote atoll motu quickly becomes the buddy-boat group's social hub
After arriving at a remote atoll, a small motu (islet) became the gathering point for a group of five buddy boats almost immediately. Despite its size, it had everything needed: soft sand for spike ball, a small river, and plenty of driftwood for bonfires. The group made a habit of heading to the beach together for afternoon spike ball sessions, which Lauren Landers Sailing describes as very fun and producing very special moments. Being out in the middle of literally nowhere with that many boats around made the experience feel remarkably social and memorable.
