Why you must fix the process before adding AI automation
A core principle for AI consulting engagements is that you cannot throw AI at a broken process and expect it to work — it will fall apart. The right approach is to first map the current process as it actually stands today, then deliver a future-state blueprint showing what the perfect process looks like. Only after that redesign is complete does it make sense to discuss automating the new process, and that automation becomes a separate, additional engagement. This process redesign work is a distinct, billable deliverable on its own.
