Why Greg Isenberg thinks this is the best time ever to build, despite the noise
There's been a lot of chatter — including from respected indie hackers — about how hard it's become to build a business right now, with AI overviews eating traffic and vibe-coding commoditizing simple tools. Greg Isenberg's take is the opposite: it's an incredible time to be building, in fact the best time ever. The key is choosing the right type of business. Small tools that can be vibe-coded in an afternoon have little moat and little future. What's worth building now are startups that could be profitable on day one, that have some genuine defensibility, and that are reinvented for an internet that is AI-native and agent-ready. The world is moving, the internet is changing, and founders who move with it — rather than mourning the old model — are in a genuinely strong position.
