The $5 trillion AI rollup opportunity: why none of the critics changed Greg Isenberg's mind
After posting the AI rollup thesis publicly, Greg Isenberg heard from several billionaires and major firms wanting to discuss it further, as well as plenty of smart critics explaining why it won't work. Going through each objection — rollups fail, margins compress, regulated industries need humans, people hate change, it's just layoffs — none of them changed his mind about the size of the opportunity or how to approach it. The early stories are remarkable, and there are enormous numbers of businesses too small for the big funds that are sitting wide open. The vision is a one-person holdco or small holdco: a few good businesses, a great GM running each one, and a shared layer of agents and rules underneath that gets better every week. He calls this model 'multipreneurship' — owning multiple businesses rather than just starting one.
