How to start building IRL community skills: start small with a sharp question
You don't start with a massive event. You start by inviting six, seven, or eight people to a dinner, a walk, a hike, or a breakfast — and you anchor it around a crisp, interesting question. If you want to build a community around AI, the question might be: 'What skill are you learning because of AI?' or 'What are you currently automating in your business?' or 'What do you think is missing in the tech industry?' Then you invite people who can actually answer that question. After the event, you send a short recap with the best quotes, inside jokes, ideas, and pointers on what each person should do next. That recap is critical — it transforms the room into a network.
