Grockbot monitoring Gmail found a real sponsor — a local bagel shop
By connecting Grockbot to Gmail and setting it up to monitor inbound messages, it caught a sponsorship inquiry from a local bagel shop owner that had been missed the previous week. Grockbot flagged it, recommended following up, and pitched a specific ad slot. That led to a real meeting, free bagels, and an active sponsorship conversation. Any media property should have a dedicated sponsorship inbox — something like sponsorships@yourdomain — and Grockbot can monitor it, price out ad slots based on market rates and newsletter growth, build a sales sheet for the prospect, and draft the outbound message for human review.
