Always build and run a process manually with Grockbot before automating it
The right sequence is to stand up the process manually with Grockbot first before handing it off to a cheaper automation. In this case, that meant having Grockbot write newsletter event blurbs every week — emoji, event title, time, and a summary — until the format was proven and repeatable. Only after that did it make sense to replace the summary step with an OpenAI API call via make.com. If you skip the manual phase, you don't actually know whether the output is good enough to trust at scale.
