Before heading somewhere like a beach club, research what other people have done there and form a mental image of what your picture should look like. The goal is to arrive with a vision so you are not just standing around with your arm around a friend doing the default pose everyone else does. If you want to stand out, you need to have already thought about the angle, the movement, the styling. Seeing the picture in your mind before you take it is what separates a memorable image from a generic one.
