An empty table at a cafe shot is a dead giveaway you staged the photo

By Fabrizio Rausa

Fabrizio Rausa uses one of his own posts as a self-critical example: two men at an outdoor hotel bar terrace in Prague, table completely empty. The phone prop and the friend smoking a cigar gave the shot some saving grace, but the empty table undermines everything. If you are really at a hotel bar, you would be drinking something, eating a snack, talking. The absence of anything on the table signals immediately that you are not actually there in the moment, you are just using the location as a backdrop. That breaks the illusion of a genuine, high-value lifestyle.
